Do You Need A Lawyer?

Modern life is complex and many problems don't have a do-it-yourself solution. To protect your freedom, your family and your assets you may need a lawyer to help you with what may seem to be simple, open-and-shut cases.

Below are a few of the types of situations that sometimes confront us.  If any of them are similar to what you are facing, click on the description for more information.

  • You are having trouble paying your bills.  You fear that your car or even your home may be repossessed.
  • You are starting a new business and thinking of incorporating in Delaware for $50 using a magazine coupon.
  • After working as a key software engineer for a start-up venture that quickly grew to $50 million in revenues, you are looking for capital to start your own entrepreneurial venture.

  • You are thinking of getting a divorce ... or fear your spouse might be.
  • Your aging parents want you to help them straighten out some of their housing and medical care problems.

  • Your teen-aged child has been accused of having drugs in her school locker.
  • Your landlord is trying to evict you for being late with the rent.

  • You were stopped while driving home from a dinner at which you had consumed two glasses of wine over three hours.   You face a charge of Driving While Intoxicated.
  • You have four children from two marriages and two former wives.  None of them get along.  You are not getting any younger and you worry about what will happen to your estate after you die.
  • You fell off a ladder at work, breaking your collar bone. The boss says it was your fault and refuses to submit your insurance claim.
  • Your brother is killed by an air conditioner that falls out of an apartment window in midtown Manhattan.
